assigning datasetname dynamically to a report ?

Hi friends
am new to reports in VS2005.
how can i assign a datasource dynamically to a report.
i know how to do add datasource in desgin mode to a report.(i.e i create a new datasource and drag and drop it on to report).

but in my case i need to take some parameters from users and create a dataset with relavant data and show it in a report.
i cant find any documentation or samples for it.
Thanks for your help.
BTW its winform application and i want to show that report in report viwer control.
Thanks for your helpFinally i found a way to do this.
first i created typed dataset and bound it to my report. and in my screen i populate this typed dataset with data and load the report in report viewer control.
my sample code

reportViewer1.ProcessingMode = Microsoft.Reporting.WinForms.ProcessingMode.Local;
reportViewer1.LocalReport.ReportEmbeddedResource = "WindowsApplication1.samplereport.rdlc";
reportViewer1.LocalReport.DataSources.Add(
new ReportDataSource("MyTable", GetData()));
this.reportViewer1.RefreshReport();

in getdate() method i loop thru my data reader and populated the typed dataset .

is this right approach i.e. using typed dataset and is there any better approach of doing it.
Thanks for your ideas.

asp.net report (rdlc) file cannot create dataSource

With asp.net 2005 - after I create a report (rdlc) file, I try to create a
Data Source (Report menu, then click "Data Sources", I get error:
The root element of a WC3 XML Schema should be <schema> and its namespace
should be 'http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema'.
Can I fix this?
Thanks
--
JayYou can create the data source later in the ReportingServe Manager.
Dont use shared data sources in this case..
I dont know why you are getting that error but that is an alternative.

ASP.NET datagrid as datasource

Hello, I've got an ASP.NET project that populates a datagrid depending
on the search criteria of the end-user. I'd like to take the populated
datagrid as my datasource for my report. Can anyone shed some light on
how to do this or point me in the right direction.
Thanks in advance.You should investigate the new controls with VS 2005. For those you give a
table and a report and the control renders it (no server) if using in local
mode.

Maybe a typo..... Dim UserGUID? Should be Dim UserGUID as GUID? I think I had a problem with that parameters.clear method also, so I added a check to see if there are any parameters before clearing,

IfMe.UsersObjectDataSource.SelectParameters.Count > 0Then

Me.UsersObjectDataSource.SelectParameters.Clear()

EndIf
